About Us

SOAR Foundation was started in 1992 in Cooper City, Florida and applied for and was granted 501(c)(3) status in 2015. A secular, non-sectarian organization, our purpose is to provide the South Florida community with essential services, especially for those in crisis and in need. After an assessment of the needs of both the local community and of the larger South Florida area, it was decided to begin programming focusing on at risk teens. Our initial programs were extremely successful and it soon became obvious that a larger campus was needed. Fundraising was initiated and properties scouted and in 2020, a 6.5 acre campus was secured. With the new campus, an expansion of programming was possible, including providing space for TAG Academy vocational school and housing facilities for those in need.
